The Establishment of the C3H Inbred Strain of Mice for the Study of Spontaneous Carcinoma of the Mammary Gland

1. The lineal descendents of mouse number 8986 constitute strain C3H.

2. The C3H strain, established by a system of pedigreed inbreeding over a period of 15 years, is to be considered a pure line in regard to the occurrence of spontaneous carcinoma of the female mammary gland.
