Questionable methods of cancer management: the Committee for Freedom of Choice in Medicine, Inc

The Committee for Freedom of Choice in Medicine is the political arm of several interlocking corporations promoting and/or marketing questionable remedies for cancer and other serious diseases. Operating during the 1970s as the Committee for Freedom of Choice in Cancer Therapy, the organization fought for legalization of laetrile and claimed to have many members. Today the Committee appears to be a small group whose principal activities are speeches and press conferences by its leaders, protests to government agencies, and publication of a small-circulation newsletter.
