The survival rate for testicular cancer has undergone a dramatic increase
from 10 percent in the 1970s to 90 percent in the 1990s. This increase is
due to improvements in clinical practice that have now made testicular
cancer one of the most curable solid tumors. This article overviews the
detection and treatment of testicular cancer, as well as its histology,
epidemiology, and natural history.
