The National Cancer Data Base (NCDB), now 10 years old, was created to
provide a resource for assessing patient care and outcomes nationally and
to circulate this information to the medical community. Dr. Partridge says
the NCDB clearly has succeeded in fulfilling this and other goals and can
be expected to continue to be an important source for evaluating patterns
of cancer care in the United States.
