Erratum

In the January/February 2002 issue, in the article Cancer Statistics, 2002 (Jemal A, Thomas A, Murray T, Thun M. CA Cancer J Clin 2002:52;23-47), an error appeared in Table 3Go (Estimated Cancer Deaths for Selected Cancer Sites by State, US, 2002) on page 29.

  		TABLE 3 Estimated Cancer Deaths for Selected Cancer Sites by State, US, 2002*
 
The figure published as the total number of estimated breast cancer deaths among women in the United States was incorrectly given as 40,000. This figure actually represents the combined estimate for breast cancer deaths in both men and women. The correct number for women alone is 39,600. Table 3Go is reproduced on page 182.
