CME Quiz & Evaluation Prescribed Credit Hours

March/April 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 2)

We indicated incorrectly that the CME Quiz & Evaluation for "Alternative Cancer Cures: ‘Unproven’ or ‘Disproven’?" was approved for AAFP Prescribed credit hours.

The American Cancer Society designates this educational activity for a maximum of one-half category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award, but this activity is not approved by AAFP for Prescribed Credit Hours. It does qualify, however, for .50 Elective credit.

AAFP members may obtain their Elective credit for this article by contacting CME Records & Reporting at www.aafp.org.

We, therefore, incorrectly printed that the CME quizzes for the "Cancer Disparities by Race/Ethnicity and Socioeconomic Status," "Soft Tissue Sarcomas," and "Alternative Cancer Cures: ‘Unproven’ or ‘Disproven’?" were approved for up to 2.0 Prescribed AAFP Credit Hours. The correct number of AAFP Prescribed Credit Hours should have been 1.5 total for these quizzes.

May/June 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 3)

We incorrectly printed that the CME Quiz & Evaluation for "An Evidenced-based Staging System for Cutaneous Melanoma" "has been approved for up to 1.5 Prescribed credit hours."

The correct number of AMA and AAFP Prescribed credit hours should have been 1.0 for this quiz.

July/August 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 4)

We incorrectly printed that the CME Quiz & Evaluation for "Long-term Complications Following Childhood and Adolescent Cancer" "has been approved for up to 1.5 Prescribed credit hours."

The correct number of AMA and AAFP Prescribed credit hours should have been 1.0 for this quiz.

CME Quiz & Evaluation Expiration Dates

January/February 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 1)

We incorrectly printed that the Cancer Statistics, 2004, and "American Cancer Society Guidelines for the Early Detection of Cancer, 2004," quizzes must be submitted online by February 1, 2006, or completed and postmarked or faxed by January 1, 2006, to receive CME credit.

The correct expiration date for these quizzes is January 1, 2005.

March/April 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 2)

We incorrectly printed that the "Cancer Disparities by Race/Ethnicity and Socioeconomic Status," "Soft Tissue Sarcomas," and "Alternative Cancer Cures: ‘Unproven’ or ‘Disproven’?" quizzes must be completed online by April 1, 2006, or completed and postmarked or faxed by March 1, 2006, for CME credit.

The correct Expiration Date for these quizzes is March 1, 2005.

May/June 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 3)

We incorrectly printed that the quiz for "An Evidenced-based Staging System for Cutaneous Melanoma" must be completed online by June 1, 2006, or completed and postmarked or faxed by May 1, 2006, for CME credit.

The correct Expiration Date for this quiz is May 1, 2005.

July/August 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 4)

We incorrectly printed that the quiz for "Long-term Complications Following Childhood and Adolescent Cancer" must be completed online by August 1, 2005.

The correct expiration date for this quiz is July 1, 2005.

September/October 2004 Issue (Vol. 54/No. 5)

We incorrectly printed that the quiz for "HPV Communication: Review of Existing Research and Recommendations for Patient Education," "What Is New in Lymphoma?" and "Understanding Cancer Clusters" must be completed online by October 1, 2005.

The correct expiration date for this quiz is September 1, 2005. We deeply regret these errors and apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Please contact cme@cancer.org with any questions.
